Share Your Workouts on Facebook

Wednesday, June 22, 2011 Polar has just upgraded the polarpersonaltrainer.com web service where you can keep track of your training and analyze your results in detail. You can now share your training experience with your Facebook friends just by clicking the new share button on the training session overview. What could be more motivating than your friends seeing how your session went and discussing with you about your workout to share their tips and inspiration.

This new cool social aspect in your training can give you many benefits. You can keep your friends posted on your activities and get advice on how to further improve your training. Some of your friends might get encouraged to join you the next time you go for a ride or attend a group exercise class. In addition, the share button gives athletes an easy way to share their training data with their personal coaches.

Besides your basic training data, you can share, with some Polar training computers, your heart rate curve, time in different heart rate zones and lap times. With the new Polar RCX5 you can even share the map view where your friends can see your training data at any point of your route.

In addition to Facebook, you can share your training data to Twitter or any of your favorite social media services. Log in to your online training diary to try the share button right now. If you’re not a member yet, signing up at polarpersonaltrainer.com is fast and free.
